Stakes definition

The 'Stakes' can be found by clicking Cash at the top of the kHold'em homescreen and then clicking Stakes. This section will allow you to create new stakes and facilitate different forms of poker such as Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Stud etc.

 

When you click into the Stakes section, you will see a list of all the games that your premises will run. You can edit any game type by double clicking the game or by single clicking then clicking edit.

When you wish to edit a stake, this is the first window you will see:

 

General Settings:

Buyin:

Small blind - This is the value of the small blind in this game

Big blind - This is the value of the big blind in this game

Ante - This is the value of the ante in this game

Bring-In - This is the value of the bring-in in this game

Staddle - This is the value of the straddle in this game

Limit 1 and Limit 2 - These are the limits for bets if it's a limit game bring played

Min. buyin - This is the minimum buyin permitted for this game

Max. buyin - This is the maximum buyin permitted for this game

 

The next tab in the section to edit stakes is the rake section. There are two methods of taking rake:

  1. Rake per hand
  2. Rake per playing time

Rake per hand:

Rake cap - If you have a maximum amount of rake permitted in a hand then type that value here

Rake round type - If your rake will round up or down then choose the correct option eg if you choose round up and the rake is €2.50 then the rake would become €3 and if you choose round down it would become €2

Rake round value - This is the value at which your rake will be rounded to. This is usually the lowest value chip in play in that game

Value type - You can choose a percentage value or a fixed value for the rake

Rake per playing time:

Amount - This is the value of the rake

Minutes - This is how often in minutes the rake will be taken

Gain for table - This is if the rake is being taken from the whole table

Gain for player - This is if the rake is being taken from an individual player
